Love Designed Contest Form

At Olive Ave, we believe jewelry should be deeply personal, with each piece telling a meaningful story. While we often draw inspiration from the stories and memories of our own team, we're excited to invite you into the creative process.
We're launching a special opportunity for our community to submit a Name, Story, and Design concept for a custom engagement. For the submission, the Name should be the desired name for the engagement ring. The Story should tell us the why behind the name and how it connects to the design and participant. For the Design, our team is looking for a visual representation of the vision, preferably a sketch or visual outline. Submissions that do not include all three requirements (Name, Story, and Design) will not be considered.
One winning submission will be selected to collaborate directly with one of our Custom Designers to bring their vision to life. The final piece will be featured on our website, and as a thank-you, the winner will receive their design free of charge.
We can't wait to see the stories you'll share and the beauty you'll inspire. Please review the terms and conditions before submitting your design.

For inspiration, please review our 2023 submission winners. Happy designing!

  5. Intellectual Property; License Grant. By submitting an Entry, each entrant hereby irrevocably and unconditionally:
    1. License Grant. Entrant grants to Sponsor, its affiliates, licensees, successors, and assigns a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable, and fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, publish, adapt, distribute, publicly perform, display, market, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit the Entry, in whole or in part, in any form, format, or media now known or later developed, for any and all lawful purposes, including without limitation advertising, promotional, commercial, and merchandising purposes, without further notice, approval, or compensation.

Entrant acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor, its affiliates, and licensors have in the past designed, developed, and produced, and are currently designing, developing, and producing, products, designs, or concepts that predate or are otherwise independent of the Entry. If, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, an Entry is determined to be identical or substantially similar to any such past or ongoing product, design, or concept, the Entry will be deemed ineligible, will not be selected as a winning design, and will confer no rights or remedies upon entrant. Entrant further acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor retains all rights in and to such past and ongoing products, designs, and concepts, and entrant expressly waives any claim that Sponsor’s previous or current products, designs, or marketing materials infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate entrant’s rights in and to the Entry.

Sponsor reserves the right to use, or not use, any Entry in its sole discretion, and entrants acknowledge the possibility that Sponsor’s existing or future designs may resemble submissions without conferring any rights or remedies upon entrants.

  6. Winner Selection and Odds. Eligible Entries will be judged by a panel of qualified judges selected by Sponsor, based on creativity, originality, and commercial appeal (the “Judging Criteria”). Sponsor reserves sole discretion to determine the weighting of criteria. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible Entries received.

If the value of the prize awarded to a U.S. resident equals or exceeds $600, Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC reporting the value to the Internal Revenue Service. Winners must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 (including a valid taxpayer identification number) as a condition of receiving the prize.

Noncompliance, return of prize notification as undeliverable, or inability to verify eligibility may result in disqualification, in which case an alternate winner may be selected.

Sponsor reserves the right to conduct background checks and disqualify any potential winner whose conduct could damage Sponsor’s reputation or goodwill.

  10. Publicity Release. By submitting an entry and participating in the Contest, each entrant grants to the Sponsor, its affiliates, licensees, successors, and assigns, a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, sublicensable, and transferable right and license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, publish, adapt, modify, and otherwise exploit the entrant’s name, likeness, voice, image, biographical information, and submitted design (collectively, “Publicity Materials”) for advertising, promotional, trade, and other lawful purposes, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further notice, approval, or compensation to the entrant, except where prohibited by law. Entrants expressly waive any claims to rights of publicity, privacy, or moral rights they may have in connection with such use. Nothing herein obligates the Sponsor to make use of any Publicity Materials, and Sponsor may exercise the rights granted herein in whole or in part, or not at all, at its sole discretion.

  11. Release and Limitation of Liability. By submitting a design and participating in this Contest, each entrant irrevocably releases, discharges, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with: (i) the creation, submission, or display of the entrant’s ring design; (ii) any actual or alleged infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property or proprietary rights in connection with the design submitted; (iii) participation in the Contest or any activities related thereto; or (iv) the acceptance, receipt, possession, use, or misuse of any prize. Entrants expressly acknowledge and agree that the Released Parties make no warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, regarding any prize awarded in the Contest, including but not limited to its quality, condition, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, and the total liability of the Released Parties for any claim arising out of the Contest shall not exceed the actual retail value of the prize awarded to the applicable entrant.

  12. As a condition of entering the Contest, each entrant gives consent for Sponsor to obtain and deliver his or her name, address and other information to third parties for the purpose of administering this Contest and to comply with applicable laws, regulations and rules. Any information entrants provide to Sponsor may be used to communicate with entrant in relation to this Contest or on a Contest winners list. Entrants will be given the option to receive further communication (i.e., emails, specific offers, etc.) from Olive Avenue Jewelry Company; however, eligibility to participate in the Contest is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such emails. Opting-in to receive further communication from Sponsor does not improve entrant’s chances of winning. Entrants may opt-out of marketing communications at any time.

  13. General Conditions
    1. No Purchase Necessary. Participation in the Contest is free of charge. No purchase, payment, or other form of consideration is required to enter or win. Any attempt to condition entry on purchase or payment shall be void and of no effect, and such a requirement shall not increase or otherwise affect the chances of winning.
    2. Right to Modify/Cancel. The Sponsor reserves the sole and absolute right, in its reasonable discretion, to cancel, suspend, terminate, or modify the Contest, or any part thereof, at any time if fraud, technical failures, tampering, unauthorized human intervention, acts of misconduct, or any other causes beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control compromise the security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such an event, the Sponsor may, but is not obligated to, award the prize(s) based on eligible entries received up to the date of termination.
    3. Force Majeure. The Sponsor shall not be liable or deemed in default for any failure or delay in conducting the Contest, awarding a prize, or otherwise performing its obligations hereunder, where such failure or delay arises from causes beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, natural disasters, public health crises or pandemics, war, invasion, hostilities, terrorist threats or acts, labor disputes, embargoes, government orders or regulations, or any other event or circumstance that makes it illegal or impossible to carry out the Contest as originally planned.
    4. Disqualification. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; violates these Official Rules or the terms of any affiliated website; engages in any form of fraud, misrepresentation, or unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or abusive conduct; or otherwise acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant or the Sponsor. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage the Contest or undermine the legitimate operation thereof may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Sponsor reserves the right to pursue all available remedies.
    5. Severability. If any provision, term, or condition of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The headings and titles contained herein are for convenience only and shall not be deemed to affect the interpretation or construction of any provision of these Rules.
    6. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution and Attorney Fees. These Official Rules, and the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law principles that would result in the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction. All disputes, controversies, or claims arising out of or relating to the Contest shall be resolved exclusively and finally by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its then-current Commercial Arbitration Rules, with such arbitration to take place in Maricopa, Arizona. The proceedings shall be conducted on an individual basis only, and entrants expressly waive any right to pursue claims as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator shall have the authority to award any remedy or relief that a court of competent jurisdiction could order or grant, including injunctive relief, but shall not have authority to conduct class, consolidated, or representative proceedings. The prevailing party in any arbitration or court proceeding permitted under these Rules shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses incurred in connection with such proceeding, in addition to any other relief to which such party may be entitled. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Sponsor retains the right to seek injunctive relief, equitable remedies, or any other appropriate relief from a court of competent jurisdiction in order to protect and enforce its intellectual property rights or confidential information.
